The supermarket will employ up to 200 people and Asda aims to work with local recruitment agencies to make sure the jobs go to local people who want them.

Employees will take home an estimated combined pay-packet of £1.5million a year, which will boost the wider Cinderford economy. There will be a variety of jobs available to suit all lifestyle, from managerial careers to flexible shift work.

Register your early interest in a job: Speak to our representative from Asda to find out more about working in store, then fill out one of the cards provided and we’ll pass your details onto Asda.

We are also keen to employ local contractors to help with the construction. If you would like to register the name of your company, please leave a business card with one of the team or complete a form.

This development will benefit all of Cinderford, with exciting regeneration plans to enhance the town centre. When planning consent is implemented, Trilogy has pledged more than £500,000 towards:

Improvements to the St White’s Road junction as requested by Gloucestershire County Council.

Landscaping measures and significant bulb-planting at roads and roundabouts leading towards the town centre. This could include a “mile of daffodils” leading into Cinderford to attract shoppers and visitors.

Town centre parking improvements and new restricted parking zones to ensure easy access for visitors and shoppers.

Upgrades to footpaths in the town centre.

A lighting scheme to illuminate the Triangle and landmark buildings in the town during the evening.

Redevelopment of the bus station with real-time passenger information screens – including a bus stop outside the new supermarket.

Public transport improvements.

Trilogy has worked with the district council and members of the Cinderford Regeneration Board to explore ways that we can help enhance the town centre.
Trilogy has also pledged money towards crime prevention publicity materials inside the store and measures to secure training and employment opportunities for local people.
